‘24k’ music video [2017]

I met Jess in the smoking area of a club Nine8 Collective were performing at. She had a few hundred followers & plays on soundcloud at the time.

We got chatting and given my history with the collective & shooting music videos for Lava La Rue it made sense we would create something together.

Armed with £200, Lava’s flat, Nine8 art dept skills & some ‘borrowed’ equipment from a Danny Boyle film one of our crew members was working on we created this dreamy video for 24k.

‘a world without snooze’ [2018/19]

The 24k video & song started doing numbers and she even got featured on Colors.

We continued our collaboration creating a short film around her EP ‘A World without Snooze’. Jess loves cinema & building worlds so it made sense to create this long form piece around her EP rather than individual music videos. It took a number of months to concept, plan & create but this is one of my favourite pieces we made together.

‘sunny’ music video [2019]

One of Jess’s first big songs [one of Billie Eilish favs too!] when she signed to RCA / Sony.

It was great that the label kept me onboard for her first releases with them and it definitely helped having the same visual cohesion for this era of Jess’s music.

‘from then till now’ documentary [2020]

My final assignment with the Biig Piig project was very fitting; a retelling of the past 3-4 years of Jess’s rise.

It was really wonderful to go back over our past few years of collaboration together as well as shoot an interview with Jess & meet some of her family. I was so proud of her then & even more so now as she continues to rise and grow as a truly generational talent. I’m super grateful for my time documenting Jess & putting visuals to her gorgeous music. A definite career highlight.
